Vendor view: Feckenham is a very special place and I feel very fortunate to live here. In 2003 I thought I might be here for a year or two, but that was over 17 years ago! We have a welcoming community and there is something for here everyone; from the baby and toddler group and nursery in the village hall when my boy was young, the nurturing first school, plus all the village committees and events- you can get as involved as much or as little as you like.
The village community shop is great- all the essentials plus good coffee and cake!- and Mel and Matt at the Rose and Crown run a traditional family village pub with a wonderful garden for summer evenings. And should you want a tent, wellies or waterproof coat for walking (there is a lot of beautiful walking and cycling from your front door), we also have Winfields- all bases covered! Lots of history too; the football field was the site of King John’s hunting ground- you can still see the remains of the moat- and the Feckenham Wylde Moor reserve is here as well. A beautiful countryside village, but only 3.5 miles from a 24hour Tesco, and with family in London, still really easy to get together.
